Going abroad to spend your summer holidays is something that many people are deciding against, as they all look to save some money. Skegness is great alternative for holidaymakers, as it offers them a friendly, fun environment whilst having plenty to do.

One thing is for sure, you will not get bored in Skegness. Whatever age and whatever your interests are there is always plenty on offer. From Hildred's Shopping Centre where you can shop in H Samuel and Burtons, to Skegness Sports Centre where you can test your skills on the football field, tennis court and much more.

If you are feeling sporty there are plenty of places to play. There are some excellent golf courses such as Elms Golf Range and Seacroft Golf Club that will test your golfing ability and if you fancy relaxing and going fishing then head down to Bridge Bungalow which is well known in Skegness for fishing.

If you like some adventure in your holidays then Skegness has just the thing, Skegness Cable Ski Centre is the ideal place to let your hair down and have some great fun.

Whether you are an experienced skier on the water or a novice, there are experienced trainers on hand to talk you through your session. You will have a great time on the water whether you are a first-timer or seasoned professional.

The Ski Centre is fantastic fun and it is also reasonably priced at £32 for a day pass for adults (14 and over) and £30 for a day pass for children (under 14).

There is also the Pleasure Beach and the Skegness Illuminations, which attracts thousands of visitors each year, for you to enjoy. These two locations are great for families as there is a mix of activities to do. For the kids there are plenty of shows going on that will keep them interested for hours and if you fancy relaxing then there are cafes where you can have a drink and enjoy some traditional Lincolnshire food.

If comedy is your thing, Joe Pasquale is in Skegness from 16th to 29th August and there will be plenty of laughs at the local theatre. This is just one of the ways to let your hair down and enjoy your summer break.
